Friends of Bottesford Primary
Who are We?
Friends of Bottesford Primary School is a registered charity, run by a committee of parent volunteers. We organise events and activities to support our school community and to raise funds to enhance the experience of the children in our school.
The money raised by Friends has been used to fund, amongst other things, the sensory garden, Jubilee Bench, school trips and Forest School sessions, IT equipment, outdoor picnic tables, a mobile cooking station, reading books, bird box camera for Ash Class, and to contribute to the Year 6 leavers’ books. We have also contributed to the refurbishment of a large area of the main playground along with the Ash Class Playground.
All the funds raised by Friends are spent for the benefit of the children and we can’t do it without your support. Committee meetings take place once every half term, usually on a Tuesday, at The Bull Inn. If you would like to join the committee, or can spare any time to help out with any of our events, we’d love to hear from you!

Our Projects
In August 2019, we made a large contribution to the funding for the refurbishment of Ash Class playground, creating a fun-tastic area for the youngest children in the school. Our next target is supporting Mr Andrews to fund a MUGA (multi-use games area), which will provide an all-weather enclosed sports area for the whole school to benefit from.

School Lottery
Did you know every week a supporter of Bottesford Primary School wins the lottery?!
Your School Lottery is a weekly ethical lottery that offers a guaranteed cash prize of between £20 and £30 to a supporter of our school, as well as a chance to win a national jackpot of £25,000. You don’t even have to be a parent or carer of a child at our school, so once you have signed up, please spread the word to your family and friends. Every £1 ticket sold benefits our school. We raised £1,411 in 2020/21 and over £1000 was given out as cash prizes directly to supporters of Bottesford Primary School!

Fundraising as you Shop
Amazon Smile
Simply sign up and choose to support Friends of Bottesford Primary School, and Amazon will donate 0.5% of each purchase you make via AmazonSmile to us at no cost to you! There is an option to make AmazonSmile the default option for purchases made via the Amazon app, so you can raise funds for us as your shop on your mobile phone. In 2020/21 we raised £156 through AmazonSmile - we’d love to beat this amount this year.

Easyfundraising
The majority of online retailers are signed up to Easyfundraising, so for those of you who shop online this is a total no-brainer! If you sign up and download the widget, you will get a reminder as you shop that a “donation is available” and the retailers will donate between 0.5% and 4% of your spend - and it doesn’t cost you a penny. We raised £60 in 2020/21 with only a few parents signed up - just think what we could raise if everyone registered!
